Subaru has done some cool things with their Starlink service, and being able to use the app for vehicle status and remote start functions comes in handy. However the user experience had plenty to be desired, and the interface looked bland. So, I set aside some time to throw some UX thinking at it along with giving it a face lift. I had plenty of my own pain points. Basic functions were several taps away. Once a function was set, I couldn’t go back in and change any setting. I solved for several of these issues in a refreshed app experience. And after posting on instagram and tagging Subaru, their updated UX looked oddly similar, ha.
